Chairperson's Message

Dear Students, Advancements in Information Technologies and the rapid increase in the use of mobile devices have increased the demand for high-quality software that effectively utilizes advanced technologies. This situation has further emphasized the importance of Software Engineering, making it a significant profession contributing to the country's economy. Interest in Software Engineering, considered among the Jobs of the Future, and the need for software engineers in the industry have significantly increased in recent years.

Our university, which opened its Turkish department in 2020 and its English department in 2021, continues its education, teaching, and research activities at the undergraduate and graduate levels with a quality teaching staff in the Software Engineering Department. Our curriculum aims to produce graduates who can participate in all stages of developing large-scale software in line with the requirements of the software sector. Our Software Engineering students not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also reinforce this knowledge by applying it in our laboratories.

OSTIM Technical University is established in a business and finance center that has made significant contributions to Turkey's industrialization. In order to benefit from this knowledge, practical training is given great importance alongside theoretical knowledge. From the first year onwards, our students will receive training in business environments to gain observation, application, innovation, and management skills.

Our students gain workplace experience by working in companies and software firms within the OSTIM Ecosystem for 6 semesters. In the final semester, they work in these workplaces as an employee or an engineer. Our Software Engineering graduates can quickly find jobs in sectors such as defense industry, finance, banking, artificial intelligence, games, and animation, and can work as software development engineers, software design engineers, test engineers, data analysts, and in similar roles in public and private enterprises in these sectors.

OSTIM Technical University, established in the heart of the industry, has a more advantageous position compared to other universities. For our students who will be able to apply the theoretical knowledge they have learned in classes in OSTIM enterprises and become experienced engineers, the OSTIM ecosystem is like a complete laboratory. Our Software Engineering students will also benefit from the experiences of academics who have gained industrial experience.
